Join us in this role where you’ll complete a Master’s thesis on Optimised Long-Term Planning for Offshore Wind Farm Maintenance, based on a self-developed simulation model. You’ll contribute to developing innovative maintenance strategies and simulation tools that support operational excellence across our offshore wind assets. Your work will directly contribute to the sustainability and reliability of renewable energy operations.

You’ll be part of HV & Transmission Operation (Germany)

You’ll play an important role in

  • generating a simulation model for annual maintenance and troubleshooting for all assets in our Hub in Norrdeich
  • developing metrics to compare scenarios in terms of cost, efficiency, effectiveness, and resource utilisation of maintenance activities
  • identifying requirements for a five-year maintenance plan to serve as the base scenario for the simulation model
  • producing generalised maintenance strategies, including parametric versions
  • optimising parameters of maintenance strategies and identify optimal or pareto-optimal strategies based on developed metrics
  • developing documentation and training materials for the model.

To succeed in the role, you

  • hold a completed degree within engineering or related
  • have advanced skills in at least one of the following tools: Primavera P6, Matlab, or equivalent
  • bring experience in the offshore wind industry, maintenance, or service planning, or equivalent experience (optional)
  • have experience with the development of simulation models, or equivalent experience
  • are able to meet competence requirements within the given timeframe as outlined in the relevant competence framework.

Please note that you will be working from our office in Norddeich, Germany. This is a part-time position, offering 20 hours of work per week, providing flexibility to support your academic commitments.
