Our client is a leading international provider of automation and digitalization solutions for the metallurgical industry. With state-of-the-art technologies, the company supports customers worldwide in making processes more efficient, sustainable, and safe. To strengthen the team, we are looking for an experienced Technical System Manager (m/f/d) with a focus on Software Process Automation.
Your Responsibilities
Technical support of customers within long-term service contracts in the field of process automation for industrial plants (e.g., steel plant applications / continuous casting systems)
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis, software error correction, execution of system upgrades and migrations, as well as preparation of documentation
Close cooperation with customers and internal departments to optimize automation processes
Acting as an interface between service, development, and customers – direct customer support and development of sustainable solutions
Supporting software development teams with practical feedback and insights from operations
Your Profile
Degree in engineering (e.g., computer science, automation engineering, electrical engineering) or a comparable qualification
Practical experience in process automation of industrial plants – pure software development background is not sufficient
Strong knowledge in software development with C#, C++, and WPF for user interfaces
Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle DB, SQL) and data analysis
Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., GIT)
Excellent English language skills (C1 or higher) – German is a plus
Willingness to travel internationally for customer projects
