For our Helios Clinic in Oberhausen and our DGAV-certified reference center for obesity surgery, we are looking for you as a senior physician at the Clinic for General and Visceral Surgery with a focus on obesity surgery (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

• Further development of the clinic and the obesity center in cooperation with the head physician of the clinic and the clinic management

• Co-responsibility for the technical, organizational and economic management of the Clinic for General/Visceral Surgery and Bariatric Surgery at the Oberhausen site and the Helios Obesity Center West at the Oberhausen, Velbert-Niederberg and Wuppertal sites (service group 16.1 Bariatric Surgery was approved by the Ministry as part of NRW hospital planning)
• Cooperative, interdisciplinary and trusting collaboration with all clinics, departments and wards
• Support in ensuring inpatient and outpatient care with the highest quality standards and orientation towards guidelines and medical standards
• Participating in care and establishing networks with established colleagues and cooperation partners
• Providing and expanding training and further education for our medical colleagues and carrying out practical training for medical students

• Specialist in (general) surgery or specialist in visceral surgery (m/f/d) with sound clinical-practical knowledge in the care of (general) surgical and visceral surgical patients and, in particular, obese patients

• Additional qualification in special visceral surgery and certificate in nutritional medicine desirable
• At least 100 previous bariatric interventions desirable
• You already have experience in a (deputy) managerial and responsible position and can lead and motivate a team of experienced employees
• Experience as a senior physician (m/f/d) desirable, but not a requirement
• Highest standards in the provision of surgical services and proven expertise in the field of bariatric surgery
• Business and patient-oriented thinking and acting is a matter of course for you as well as quality-oriented medical work

• Strong communication skills, cooperative management style, structured way of working

• Strong leadership and social skills in dealing with patients and employees from all other professional groups
