Tasks

• Leading the development execution of a product delivery team (PDT) on time, cost and quality
• Integrating the Avionics, Electrics and EWIS systems on aircraft level in alignment with aircraft-level requirements and chief engineers
• Monitoring design progress and elaborating recovery plans and improvement proposals when required
• Delivering a System Level Product Description (SDD) identifying:
• System Level Functions
• Logical System Architecture
• Physical System Definition
• Providing regular weight reports
• Providing regular system performance status updates
• Participation in technical change board meetings where the system level is affected
• Participation in airworthiness and/or regulatory board meetings
• Technical risk and opportunity management
• Definition and execution of technical risk-mitigation plans

Profile

• Engineering degree (e.g., BEng, MEng) in Aerospace Engineering or related area
• At least 15 years of professional experience in relevant fields of aircraft development, especially system integration; proven experience as Systems Chief Engineer of at least 10 years in a similar area
• Broad proficiency in certification requirements, aircraft system design approaches, and interfaces with other disciplines
• Confirmed experience in leading and executing systems development within a CS-25 aircraft program
• Excellent knowledge of air legislation, quality management, configuration management and safety aspects for new aircraft development
• Strong ability to interact and influence; proactive and solution-oriented working style
• Proven ability to prioritize, manage and execute multiple simultaneous tasks
• Very good communication and presentation skills
• Confirmed leadership skills in multi-cultural teams
