Your tasks and activities
Your training in Oldenburg, Rastede, or Hude will last two years. You can expect to perform the following tasks:
- You will receive goods and raw materials, check them, and store them appropriately
- You will prepare goods for shipping and ensure that they are loaded securely onto the truck
- You will provide raw materials for production and store the finished products
- As a warehouse specialist, you will also need a forklift license, which you will obtain at the beginning of your training
Your training history
1st year of training
Training at BÜFA is very varied. You will spend a few months in each of the different departments. These include the domestic and export shipping departments, goods receiving, and various warehouses.
Vocational school classes are held at BBS Wechloy . In the first year of training, you will attend school twice a week. In the second year of training, you will only attend school once a week.
Second year of training
Our locations have different goods and warehousing systems. To familiarize yourself with these systems, you will transfer to other subsidiaries of our BÜFA Group or to our training partner PLIXXENT Oldenburg during your training. You will also gain insight into related processes, such as production.
At the end of the year, you will return to your home department. We will give you enough time and support to prepare for your warehouse clerk exams.
Soft skills and requirements
The training program requires a good secondary school diploma. You should also have the following soft skills:
- Spatial awareness
- High perception and processing speed
- Goal-oriented approach
- Reaction speed and good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn
Your prospects after training
Those who complete their final exam with a grade of 2.5 or higher usually receive a contract for at least 12 months after completing their training. However, all trainees can apply for internal job vacancies even before this.
