Your Responsibility
The UCC IT Asset Manager (ITAM) provides expertise on IT Asset Management life cycle, including an analysis of the current IT Asset Management process with focus on Software Asset Management aspects. The successful candidate will process software requests, perform regular license pooling/checks and monitor deployment and retirement of IT Assets (HW and SW). In particular, the ITAM analyses large volume of software entitlements in connection with actual or planned deployment data, supports IT and procurement teams in building licensing models, optimizes license usage based on key license drivers (e.g. number of transactions, number of cards, number of users, etc.) and maintaining effective license positions for various software publishers.

Furthermore, the IT Asset Manager continuously improves the IT asset management process with special focus on the SW Asset Management Process, starting with a gap analysis between the current process and best practice and will lead implementation of the improved process and if required a new tool set.

Your Role

• understand and practice key IT asset management concepts with a strong focus on SW asset management
• support procurement, building new license models, negotiating software contracts
  and performing necessary IT asset management tasks for hardware and for software licenses during procurement, operation and retirement lifecycle phases with the goal to optimize IT spend
• take responsibility on internal and external software audits
  to ensure both compliance and optimization
• ensure proper asset reporting, create dashboards for the IT and Controlling function, ensure all procurement, IT security, as well as risk and compliance procedures are complied with
• provide ad-hoc administrative support in relation to IT Asset Management when required and build
• lead a process gap analysis to further improve the ITAM discipline as well as the implementation of a new process
• always ensure excellent customer service and teamwork across organizations

Your Expertise

• experience as an IT Asset Manager or in a similar role, demonstrating successful knowledge and use of enterprise software asset management tools
• proven track record of designing and implementing a robust IT (Software) Asset Management process
• strong ability to compile data and metrics to allow management for data-driven decision making
• knowledge of SAM tools and technology including Flexera, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy or equivalent enterprise software asset management tools
• excellent communication skills (written/verbal), with the ability to effectively and proactively interact with management at all levels of the organization in German and English
• experience in working in cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders on all levels with diverse backgrounds and perspectives
• Bachelor's degree, advanced federal diploma or vocational qualification in IT or Business Management
