IT System Engineer DMZ Operation & Security Services (m/f/d) - min. 24h
Whether infrastructure, software development or cybersecurity: Global IT is the digital backbone of Festo – secure, innovative and high‑performing. You will be part of a global team of more than 400 colleagues who support over 20,000 clients, operate more than 1,000 central IT systems, and provide innovative solutions.
In addition, the department manages decentralized and cloud systems in around 65 countries worldwide – comprising several thousand systems.
The position can be filled on a full‑time or part‑time basis. For part‑time employment, a minimum workload of 60% is required, corresponding to at least 24 hours per week.
Your Job:
• Operation, administration and continuous optimization of all global network security components and DMZ network infrastructure
• Detection and remediation of security incidents as well as proactive identification of vulnerabilities
• Planning and implementation of security policies, standards and best practices
• Collaboration with internal departments and external service providers to ensure network security
• Conducting security audits and penetration tests, including deriving and documenting appropriate measures to improve network security
• Monitoring and reporting of network security
• Participation in the creation and updating of emergency and recovery plans
Your qualification:
• Several years of professional experience in the field of network security
• Solid knowledge and an analytical approach to troubleshooting complex network and security issues
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS and Azure
• Ideally, experience with various network and security vendors (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point)
• Programming skills in DevNet, Python, Ansible or Terraform are an advantage
• Certifications in the network and security field (e.g., CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, CEH) are desirable
• Business‑fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Team orientation and an independent working style
• Strong communication and conflict‑resolution skills as well as flexibility
