Your main tasks:
- Monitor logistics KPIs and ensure adherence to internal policies, corporate standards, and international trade regulations
- Keep accurate records for all import/export activities, ensuring readiness for audits and regulatory reviews
- Manage transport using tender-selected carriers, issue transport orders, and identify optimal alternatives when needed
- Track delivery performance, maintain documentation archives, and update transport-related master data
- Prepare transport forecasts, analyze gaps, and implement cost-efficient, process-improving initiatives
- Oversee import/export processes in collaboration with German customs brokers and authorities, ensuring proper transaction completion and compliance
- Validate customs classifications, coordinate duty approvals, and handle export declarations, Certificates of Origin, and Supplier Declarations
- Address shipment-related inquiries and complaints with urgency and professionalism; mitigate delays through proactive prioritization
- Monitor forwarder service quality, resolve issues, and support onboarding and integration of new carriers
Your ideal background:
- University degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; alternatively, a commercial qualification such as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk
- Advanced skills in SAP and MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with WMS and ERP systems
- Demonstrated experience in customs and customs clearance, with solid knowledge of customs law, free trade agreements, and free trade zones
- Strong understanding of transport market dynamics, material flows, and end-to-end supply chain processes
- Fluency in German and proficient English (minimum B2 level, both written and spoken)
- Strong analytical thinking, structured working style, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders
- Capable of providing timely, structured reporting to management and supporting daily operations
- High level of responsibility, reliability, flexibility, creativity, and a proactive approach to learning and knowledge sharing
