This is what the training looks like

As a computer scientist in platform development , you will become the architect for our IT environment – both on site and in the cloud. You will help ensure that the physical and virtual IT infrastructure runs smoothly and is protected against digital attacks.

The apprenticeship lasts 4 years and you will obtain the Federal Certificate of Competence (EFZ). You also have the opportunity to complete the vocational baccalaureate . You will attend vocational school 1-2 days a week.

At Perlen Papier you will learn how to set up and maintain sophisticated IT systems . You will manage physical and virtual cloud server systems and services and take care of their security and availability . You will help to plan and implement IT projects .

From the second year of your apprenticeship, you will be part of the IT support team and work independently. You will be in daily contact with internal customers and the IT team and learn how to apply and improve your IT skills .

What you need to bring

For this apprenticeship, you need to be able to think logically and grasp things quickly . You are patient, helpful and a team player .

You have completed secondary school level A with good to very good grades in math, German and English .

ICT Application Development Specialist, ICT Platform Development Specialist or Business IT Specialist.

Higher professional examination
Dipl. ICT Manager or Dipl. Information Security Manager.

Higher technical college
Training courses in related subject areas, e.g. Business IT graduate HF or IT graduate HF.

University of Applied Sciences
Degree courses in computer science, e.g. Bachelor of Science in computer science, business informatics or medical informatics.
