Introduction
Outbound marketing is where pipeline gets built. While content and events pull customers in, outbound is how we proactively reach the right decision-makers at the right companies with the right message. As an Outbound Marketing Working Student at FactFinder, you're not cold-calling from a script—you're becoming a demand generation strategist. You'll research high-value e-commerce companies, craft personalized outreach campaigns, and work directly with our Sales and Marketing teams to generate qualified leads that turn into revenue.
This is your chance to:
- Master B2B SaaS demand generation—one of the most valuable and in-demand marketing skills today
- Work directly with Benedikt ("Mr. Outbound") and our BDR/AE teams on campaigns that drive real pipeline
- Learn account-based marketing (ABM), lead scoring, and how modern B2B sales and marketing teams collaborate
- Build a portfolio with campaign metrics, conversion rates, and measurable business impact
Your mission
-
Account Research & Segmentation (35%)
- Research and identify high-potential B2B e-commerce companies across Europe (focus on mid-market and enterprise)
- Build detailed account profiles: company size, tech stack, pain points, key decision-makers
- Segment accounts by industry, revenue, geography, and buying signals (job postings, funding rounds, tech changes)
- Use tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Crunchbase, BuiltWith, and our CRM to gather intelligence
- Create target account lists for outbound campaigns
-
Lead Validation & Enrichment (25%)
- Validate and enrich lead data (emails, phone numbers, job titles, company info)
- Research individual prospects: what they care about, recent company news, social media activity
- Score leads based on fit and buying intent (ICP match, engagement signals, timing)
- Keep our CRM clean and up-to-date with accurate, actionable data
- Work with BDRs to prioritize high-value outreach targets
-
Outreach Campaign Development (25%)
- Write personalized email templates and LinkedIn messages that get responses
- Collaborate with Benedikt and the marketing team to test messaging, subject lines, and CTAs
- Develop multi-touch outreach sequences (email, LinkedIn, phone, video)
- Personalize outreach at scale using AI tools and automation (you'll learn to use Notion AI, ChatGPT for research and copywriting)
- A/B test different approaches and iterate based on response rates
-
Campaign Performance & Optimization (15%)
- Monitor campaign metrics: open rates, reply rates, meeting bookings, pipeline generated
- Analyze what's working and what's not—recommend changes to targeting, messaging, or timing
- Report on campaign performance to marketing and sales leadership
- Contribute insights to our broader outbound strategy and ICP refinement
- Document best practices and winning playbooks in Notion
