Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/15/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (MICU RN) We are seeking an experienced MICU RN to join our Medical ICU team in a high acuity, fast paced environment. The MICU RN provides continuous, specialized care for critically ill medical patients, including respiratory failure, sepsis, multi organ dysfunction, and complex chronic disease exacerbations. Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive assessments and manage critically ill medical patients with rapidly changing conditions - Monitor and manage ventilators, noninvasive respiratory support, and airway emergencies in collaboration with RT and providers - Titrate vasoactive and sedation drips, manage invasive lines, and interpret hemodynamic data per protocol - Administer medications, blood products, and advanced therapies while coordinating labs, imaging, and procedures - Recognize and respond quickly to deterioration, initiating emergency interventions and rapid response as needed - Collaborate with intensivists and the interdisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans - Support patients and families with education, critical updates, and end of life or complex care discussions - Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR Requirements - Active RN license (state specific or compact) - Minimum 2 years of recent MICU RN experience in the same specialty - BLS required; ACLS required - Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and advanced cardiac monitoring skills - Comfortable with ventilated patients, sepsis protocols, vasoactive drips, and high acuity medical cases Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K offered.
