Über diesen Job

Institution: LMU Munich - Faculty of Medicine - Biomedical Center (BMC) - Institute of Cardiovascular Physiology and Pathophysiology
Remuneration group: TV-L E13 (part-time 65%)
Start date: Earliest convenience, limited to 3 years
Application deadline: November 1, 2025

LMU Munich is one of Europe’s leading research institutions. Scientists from all over the world encounter excellent conditions for their work - in their own research field and in interdisciplinary networks alike.

The Institute of Cardiovascular Physiology and Pathophysiology, headed by Prof. Christian Wahl-Schott, is part of the Biomedical Center (BMC) of the LMU Faculty of Medicine. The institute is dedicated to cardiovascular research. Our research groups investigate the function of HCN channels in the heart as well as TPC and TRPML channels in the endolysosomal system. Loss or dysfunction of these ion channels is associated with various diseases such as lysosomal storage disorders, cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure. Further information can be found on our homepage (https://cv.physiol.med.uni-muenchen.de/research/wahl-schott-group/index.html).

The BMC is located on the Martinsried Campus (one of the best scientific locations in Germany) and offers an ideal research infrastructure with close proximity to the LMU University Hospital, the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Faculty of Biology, the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE-Munich), Helmholtz Center Munich, the Max Planck Institutes for Biochemistry and Biological Intelligence and the Innovation and Start-up Center Biotechnology (IZB). Off campus, Munich is one of the friendliest and liveliest cities in the world and offers a wide range of cultural and leisure activities all year round.
