Preskil Island Resort is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with Mauritian GAAP, IFRS, and statutory requirements.

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close process: general ledger, accruals, prepayments, inter-company reconciliations, fixed assets, and other period-end tasks.

• Prepare financial statements (statutory & management), ensuring compliance with Mauritian GAAP / IFRS / group standards.

• Oversee tax and statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, NPS) for the entity

• Provide financial analysis: variance analysis, budget vs actual, forecasting.

• Act as key contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.

• Coach and mentor junior accounting staff.

• Review and enhance internal controls and accounting policies.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure financial integrity.

Profile:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ACCA qualification preferred.

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Mauritian tax/statutory environment.

• Advanced Excel skills and ERP system proficiency.

• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
