What you`ll do:

As an Associate Developer (f/m/d) for Strategic Development Projects, you will join a technology-focused team dedicated to shaping future generations of SAP software.

In this role, you will work on innovative projects at the forefront of technology. You will leverage your strong software development skills to address large and complex activities, showcasing your creativity and expertise to deliver high-quality results. Your innovative mindset will be essential as we continuously explore advancements in AI and machine learning and other upcoming technologies.

You will be part of an agile team that includes a diverse mix of team members, such as developers, architects, designers, and working students. In this collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to engage with colleagues from various backgrounds to bring creative ideas together.

What you bring:

• Up to 2 years of experience as a Developer, demonstrating responsibility in development projects
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
• Very good programming skills (e.g. in TypeScript, Go, Rust, Java …) and strong competencies in computer science including data structures, design patterns and software design
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art web technologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g. React, Vue, Svelte, Angular)
• Knowledge in cloud programming and in designing and implementing APIs (e.g. REST or GraphQL)
• Practical experience with relational databases as well as with microservice architectures and distributed systems are a plus
• Knowledge of agile software development processes and experience with development processes driven by regular code reviews are a plus

In the Strategic Projects team, we are driving forward SAP’s development excellence by designing and implementing cutting-edge and strategic-relevant solutions. In addition, we provide expertise with tech evaluations and develop proof-of-concepts for strategic technology topics. Our team consists of about 60 colleagues who are students, young professionals, and experienced professionals in the areas of software development, design, project management and team/management assistance. We work in teams that are mainly located in Potsdam/Berlin and Walldorf and collaborate closely with other SAP teams to realize our mission.
