Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Software Engineer to join our team in Berlin/Potsdam that's focused on shaping and delivering the future of GenAI capabilities across our SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). As part of our dynamic team, your innovative thinking, automation seeking, collaborative attitude, and eagerness to take on challenges will contribute directly to the user experience and adoption of our services.

Join our international multi-disciplinary AI team in Berlin/Potsdam, where you will be working closely with Architects, Data Engineers, UX designers and other experts. You'll be immersed in an environment that fosters innovation, with plentiful opportunities for personal growth and continuous learning.

The Role:

• Developing software (backend/frontend, prototypes as well as products) in collaboration with diverse teams, and applying recent AI concepts in practice.
• Embracing a culture of automation by developing innovative solutions for responsible and scalable AI-based Cloud services.
• Implementing clean and scalable code.
• Adopting a problem-solving attitude to overcome challenges.
• Being open and ready to learn new technologies and software development practices as they evolve, especially in the field of generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-augmented development and tools.
• Actively shaping the direction of projects and influencing key design decisions.

What you bring:

• University degree in computer science, or related field, and software development experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, Java, or a similar language.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., git).
• Strong collaboration skills, and excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• A keenness to constantly learn about new topics in the rapidly changing world of software development, and passion for improving processes, user experiences, and enabling automation.

SAP's Business Technology Platform (BTP) is shaping the future of enterprise software, creating the ability to extend and personalize SAP applications, integrate, and connect entire landscapes, and empower business users to integrate processes and experiences. 
The BTP AI team in Potsdam/Berlin aims to be on top of the latest advancements in AI and how we apply these to increase the platform value for our customers and partners. It is a multi-disciplinary team of data engineers, software architects and developers that aims to support and deliver AI cases in the context of BTP.
