SYSTEMS ENGINEER (F/M/D)

As a technology leader in the field of neurosurgical implants, we develop and manufacture highly specialized solutions for the drainage of cerebrospinal fluid - with precision, innovative strength and responsibility for our patients suffering from hydrocephalus. As part of our Development Mechanics team, you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of complex mechatronic systems for active medical devices.

• You will develop mechanical and/or mechatronic components for active medical devices.
• You are responsible for the integration of (interdisciplinary) subsystems.
• You will be involved in and/or responsible for the introduction and optimization of processes in product development.
• You will support the development and improvement of assembly and manufacturing processes.
• You will carry out verification and validation tests, including functional, safety, performance and usability tests.
• You will create design controls and carry out risk management measures.

• Degree in engineering preferably with a focus on mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering or information technologies
• At least 5 years of practical experience in the fields of mechanical, electrical or software engineering, with experience in integrating these disciplines to develop complex systems in the medical technology environment
• Knowledge of regulations, standards and quality management systems for medical devices (MDR, 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, IEC 60601-1/-2 and ISO 14971)
• Mastery of agile working methods (Scrum, Kanban, o. a.)
• Ability to analyse and solve complex problems efficiently
• Clear and transparent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and networks
• Willingness to learn about new technologies, tools and best practices
• Fluent in written and spoken English
