What you'll do

As a working student (f/m/d) for UX/UI design in our Strategic Frontrunner Projects Team you will work on a variety of innovative and strategic projects that come directly from SAP’s senior executives. You will be part of a collaborative team that builds cutting-edge solutions to help shape the future generations of SAP software.

Advised and mentored by our experienced designers, you will explore different design solutions, create storyboards, user flows, mockups and prototypes to visualize and share your ideas with the development team. You will also have the chance to directly interact with users to perform all necessary tasks from user research / user testing, experience mapping up to high fidelity UI designs and prototypes. Furthermore, you will support the team with the creation of compelling and understandable visualizations for technical presentations, strategic communications assets, keynotes…).

In addition to that, you will have the opportunity to directly work with an agile team also containing fellow students with a tech and design background to bring creative ideas together and jointly ship applications to end users.

What you bring

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences in UX/UI Design or a related field
• A design portfolio showcasing UX as well as UI work (mandatory for each candidate)
• Preferred Skills:
• Solid understanding of the design process and related methodologies: Design Thinking, User Research, Usability Testing, and Prototyping in all kinds of fidelities
• Passion for translating complex problems into elegant and user-friendly solutions by following UX/UI Design principles
• A great eye for detail, especially when it comes to UI and Visual Design
• Experience in creating low and high-fidelity prototypes with design tools (e.g. Figma)
• Language skills: Fluent in German or English (written and spoken)
• Soft skills:
• Eager to learn about new technologies
• Hands-on, reliable and open-minded mentality
• Strong team working skills
• Determined to reach a goal in time, to work independently and to prioritize tasks
• Work Experience: We are preferably looking for a working student (f/m/d) with prior work experience as a student worker in a similar field or within your studies. We believe this can be an exciting opportunity for a motivated design student who wishes to gain more practical design experience.

Meet your team

In the Strategic Projects team we are driving forward SAP’s development excellence by designing and implementing cutting-edge and strategic-relevant solutions. In addition, we provide expertise with tech evaluations and develop proof-of-concepts for strategic technology topics. Our team consists of about 60 colleagues who are students, young professionals, and experienced professionals in the areas of software development, design, project management and team/management assistance. We work in teams that are mainly located in Potsdam/Berlin and Walldorf and collaborate closely with other SAP teams to realize our mission.
