What you will enjoy doing

• You will have full responsibility for the financial management of the German business units, including energy controlling as well as financial and investment controlling, and will manage the interfaces with external service providers
• You will ensure the financial steering of regional functions such as Information Technology, Human Resources, Legal, and Finance Operations, safeguarding budget adherence and ensuring a sustainable contribution to overall regional performance
• You will establish robust forecasting and control mechanisms for cash flow and net working capital across all business units, actively promoting liquidity awareness and developing strategies to improve cash performance
• To maximize value creation, you will enable business unit controllers to focus on strategic and value‑adding activities by defining clear and efficient interfaces within the finance organization and with other regional functions
• You will ensure that the business units receive relevant, timely, and forward‑looking financial guidance, and that risks are identified early and addressed through appropriate countermeasures to protect results
• Acting as a driver of clear governance and structure, you will take ownership of financial budgeting processes, particularly for capital expenditures, and support cost‑optimization initiatives such as productivity programs, efficiency measures, and transformation projects
• You will actively promote automation and, where appropriate, outsourcing of transactional finance processes to significantly increase productivity and relieve internal resources

What makes you great

• You hold a university degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance, combined with more than eight years of experience in an international finance environment and experience in people leadership
• You bring extensive hands‑on controlling experience, particularly in investment controlling, strategy development, and programs aimed at increasing productivity and efficiency—preferably in an industrial or operational environment
• Your strong financial modeling skills, analytical depth, and strategic mindset enable you to quickly grasp complex issues, prepare them for decision‑making, and translate insights into clear and compelling recommendations
• As a communicative and influential leader, you operate confidently at all levels of the organization, build strong cross‑functional relationships, lead diverse teams, and are passionate about developing talent
• With a solid understanding of business models, markets, and financial performance drivers, you actively shape management decisions, identify trends early, and derive effective actions
• You work in a structured, solution‑oriented, and resource‑efficient manner, drive continuous process improvement, and excel at untangling complexity and translating it into clear messages
• You are fluent in German and English, and your willingness to relocate to a larger European city within the next one to two years completes your profile
