Tasks at STR
Practical phases: Understanding technology, managing buildings
During the practical phases, students are assigned to Facility Management - specifically to the Property Management working group.
The focus is on practical tasks from the following subject areas :
- Building technology
- Machine, conveyor, MSR and building control technology
- electrical engineering
- Infrastructural management
- property management
The practical work is supplemented by activities such as
- Commercial processing of orders and invoices
- Creation of presentations and evaluations - including in Excel and SAP
- Active participation in day-to-day business
In the final semester, a practice-oriented Bachelor's thesis is written - with direct reference to a topic from the company context.

Prerequisites for the start
- (Technical) university entrance qualification with at least a good degree or professional qualification as a master craftsman/technician with proof of a counseling interview
- Understanding of technical interrelationships and a keen interest in process relationships, interfaces and/or interactions
- Ideally initial experience in project management
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Flexibility and willingness to take on responsibility
- Holistic thinking and organizational talent
- Confident appearance and good communication skills
- High degree of initiative and ability to work in a team
