Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Min 5 years experience in manufacturing engineering or industrialization within the automotive sector.
- Knowledge in planning and implementing assembly and electronic production processes, including layout and logistics planning.
- Ability to prepare feasibility studies and develop concept proposals, including presentation to customers.
- Experience in product design-for-manufacturing (DfM), in collaboration with development and quality teams (e.g. participation in FMEA).
- Competence in creating production specifications, process documentation, and operating/test equipment standards.
- Knowledge of MTM / Methods-Time Measurement (UAS) time studies, workflow data management, and master data handling in SAP.
- Fluent English (mandatory)
Responsibilities
Industrial Engineering – Process Development & Industrialization :
- Responsible for the industrialization of all manufacturing processes (excluding Test Equipment processes in dev phase).
- Define new manufacturing processes, covering pre-assemblies such as molding, Assembly line, and electronics.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new production concepts and layouts.
- Plan detailed production processes including logistics, layout, and operator workflows — ensuring packaging (customer/supplier) compatibility.
- Actively participate in P-FMEA/ DFM development and execution.
- Evaluate automation solutions by combining operating resource costs with payback period calculations.
- Drive procurement of assembly equipment, manage supplier acceptance, and oversee factory approval.
- Create MTM/UAS-based time studies and predefined time calculations.Manage workflow data and master data; verify full process functionality and traceability.
- Create specifications and work instructions Drive the overall process release for new Equipment
Serial Planner – Process Execution & Optimization:
- Transition and take ownership of the defined processes into the serial production phase.
- Develop and maintain demand and capacity overviews for production lines.
- Collaborate on all RUNs (e.g., Run@Rate, Production Trials) to validate process stability.
- Create MoB (Make or Buy) recommendations for single parts.
- Maintain master data in SAP (routings, cycle time...)
- Adjust standard times and support process optimization during serial production.
- Ensure conformity with MQ (Manufacturing Quality) standards across all processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Operating Unit and APU.
- Support governance and standardization teams to develop new cost-effective process standards.
- Lead the industrialization of engineering changes and new product variants.
- Evaluate and request process changes or new versions as necessary during serial production
