What you will do

The Supplier Quality Packaging Director is responsible for developing strategic and operational plans for the supplier quality team, leading quality strategy for the packaging category, and ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of packaging quality standards and processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially Procurement, to drive continuous improvement initiatives in packaging quality and supplier performance
• Provide strategic direction and guidance to suppliers to enhance packaging quality and drive cost efficiencies
• Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to recommend new packaging technologies and materials for improved quality and sustainability
• For global suppliers, oversee quality investigations, audits, and complaint handling investigations to ensure conformance to specifications, company procedures, and regulations
• Provide guidance on troubleshooting and solutions to quality issues through statistical analysis and process excellence tools
• Establish and maintain global relationships with partnering organizations and regulatory bodies
• Present case studies and metrics to management for strategic decision-making
• Provide overall direction to the quality function and ensure tactical objectives are met in support of strategic targets

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in quality management
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Packaging Science, or related field
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and providing subject matter expertise
• Strong understanding of CAPA, risk management, and compliance regulations

Desired Qualifications

• Proven track record of implementing quality improvement initiatives and driving supplier performance enhancements
• Strong knowledge of packaging regulations and standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively
• Experience with statistical analysis, process excellence tools, and quality investigations
• Knowledge of developing and implementing tactical and operational plans
• Ability to present case studies and metrics to management for decision-making
