Lab Assistant (m/w/d)
Background
The Research [&] Development Services team at Roche Diagnostics International (RDI) leads the management of R[&]D laboratories and associated equipment to ensure the safety, compliance and smooth operations of local R[&]D laboratories. The person will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of our BSL1 and BSL2 laboratories, managing waste collection, and oversee the stocking of common consumables within Roche Diagnostic Solutions (RDS). This position will be based at RDI campus located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland.
The perfect candidate (m/w/d): has proven experience in a cleaning or laboratory environment, is physically fit, and willing to regularly lift heavy waste bins and work with potentially infectious biological material. They possess B2-level proficiency in both German and English and demonstrate strong skills in MS Excel and the Google Suite.

Aufgaben
Responsible for Regular cleaning and disinfection of BSL-1 and BSL-2 labs, with the focus on BSL-2 labs, according to the hygiene plan as described in the hygiene operating instructions. Documentation of cleaning activities in compliance with good documentation practices, Waste Management: Waste registration in SAP and labeling according to relevant procedures and instructions. Waste collection from the labs and disposal in the designated waste area, Lab Coats collection and distribution Collect used lab coats and send them to the laundry services. Collect the clean lab coats and distribute them in the BSL-1 and BSL-2 areas, PPE and common consumables restocking: Restock PPEs and lab consumables in labs and changeover areas, and any other areas where necessary, Order PPEs, common consumables, and reagents and stock them in designated areas, Lab utensils washing and autoclaving: Operate dishwashers and autoclaves for washing and autoclaving of lab glassware and trays/racks, Pipette's collection and distribution support: Collect pipettes from the lab for calibration and distribute them upon return from calibration in coordination with the Equipment managers, Provide support to Lab managers and Equipment managers, Provide support to lab managers and equipment managers during maintenance, calibration, or audits, Organisation of maintenance and transportation of unused equipment Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifikation
Willingness to work in the following conditions: -Physical requirements include standing, bending, and lifting heavy waste bins Regularly (****) Work with potentially infectious biological material (****), German – B2 and English B2 Level, Proficient with MS Excel and Google suite (*****)
Nice to haves
Apprenticeship in pharmaceutical or diagnostics, Hep B vaccination (Can also be provided by Roche), Relevant experience in a cleaner or laboratory environment.
