Beschreibung
The Clearance Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the customs clearance process to ensure timely and compliant processing of shipments. This role oversees both day and night shift operations, ensuring 24/7 performance, team supervision, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include supervising clearance agents and supervisors, managing workload distribution, monitoring KPI performance, and ensuring alignment with FedEx service standards. The manager acts as a liaison with customs authorities, drives continuous improvement, and supports employee development. Flexibility to manage across shifts and respond to operational issues is essential in this high-paced environment.

What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling import and export customs clearance processes.
You will ensure smooth customs processing, achievement of service goals, compliance with FedEx standards and legal customs and security regulations, as well as staff scheduling.
With a keen eye, you will analyze business data and continuously improve the efficiency of the processes under your supervision.
You will work closely with domestic and international business partners and departments, and actively contribute to the leadership and motivation of your team.
What do you bring with you:
You are a good fit for us if you are already in a similar position or are looking to take the next career step into a leadership role after several years in customs clearance.
A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, a degree as a certified financial economist (customs), or a comparable qualification* combined with extensive professional experience in the customs field is advantageous.
(*e.g., Master of Compliance with Customs and International Trade Law (MCC), Master of Customs Administration (MCA), Certified Specialist in Freight Transport & Logistics, Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk).We expect solid knowledge of relevant customs and foreign trade regulations , presentation skills and good IT user skills.
In addition to your professional qualifications, you stand out for your negotiation and organizational skills, assertiveness, and strong communication abilities.
You bring theoretical knowledge of employee leadership and have already applied this competence in practice.
Good French and English skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
