REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Analyst - Materials in Winston Salem
The Quality Analyst is responsible for quality control in the production areas including acceptance of incoming materials, evaluation and release of materials, work in process, and finished products per procedural requirements and specifications. This role requires the use of measuring devices, data analysis and report generation to support production operations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist with qualification process for new Products, Technologies, Materials, Suppliers, and Equipment
- Maintain records of test results, generate reports, and interpret results
- Conduct data analysis to support daily operations, supplier performance, and troubleshooting
- Continuous improvement: IWS – CoCoE and QIE Improvement
- Operate and maintain various test instruments
- Product Maintenance – raw material optimization for production improvements; manufacturing processes optimization and alignment across facilities
- Support the manufacturing Production Associates in their IWS efforts toward stopping the stops
- Understand responsibilities for compliance with regulatory requirements and Company standards
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor of Science degree preferred; or Associate degree with relevant experience (2+ yrs); or High School diploma or equivalent with relevant experience (5+ yrs)
- Experience in quality management systems, quality testing, production processes, and knowledge of TPMP regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis, and familiarity with quality tools
- Ability to interpret analytical test data and perform material evaluations
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal oversight
- Organizational and record-keeping skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments and with suppliers
- Adequate level of sensory acuity (Ability to visually discern color, including intensity of color/shade) required to perform material evaluations
