Design-to-Cost Engineer (f/m/d)

• Development and optimisation of products taking into account cost, material and manufacturing aspects
• Analysing and identifying cost-cutting potential along the entire product life cycle
• Collaboration with design, purchasing, production and sales to optimise costs
• Carrying out market and competition analyses to derive potential for economic improvement
• Application of value analysis and design-to-cost methods
• Support in supplier selection and evaluation with regard to costs and quality

• Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in design-to-cost, value analysis or product cost management, ideally in the metal industry
• Knowledge of production and manufacturing technologies as well as materials management
• Analytical and structured way of working with strong cost awareness Communication and teamwork skills as well as assertiveness
• Confident handling of relevant software tools (e.g. CAD, ERP systems)
