POSITION SUMMARY
The selected candidate will be responsible for the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and back-of-house areas, whilst providing the best possible support to the kitchen teams and relevant departments.
In this role, the Chief Steward will assist the Executive Chef and the Culinary team with implementing and maintaining all standards, policies and procedures relating to food quality specifications, preparation, storage and all HACCP requirements. Other duties include the supervision of the Stewarding team including the training and development of the team; the control of costs and wastage; as well as the efficient planning of the day-to-day operation to maximize customer satisfaction .
Requirements for the role:
•
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a busy kitchen environment
•
Good knowledge of hotel back of house operation
•
Very good verbal and written communication skills
•
Ability to work under pressure
•
Excellent supervision skills
