EMEA Recruitment has partnered with a global FMCG organization that manufactures products across international locations. Our client is experiencing an exciting growth and adoption phase, driven by innovation and multiple projects within different business pillars.
As the
Category Manager Professional Services (HR & Travel)
, you'll take on a broad range of responsibilities, leading a spend of approximately CHF 100m across key service categories.
You will manage and develop a small team of two Category Analysts while driving strategic procurement initiatives across HR Services, advisory, outsourcing, payroll, recruitment, pension, and travel.
This role is based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland , offering a hybrid working model (2–3 days per week from home) and a competitive salary of CHF 120–130k base + bonus .
The main responsibilities of the Category Manager Professional Services (HR & Travel) include:
Owning the Professional Services procurement strategy across HR and Travel categories
Managing a total spend of approx. CHF 100m across HR Services, advisory, outsourcing, payroll, recruitment, pension, and travel
As the Category Manager Professional Services (HR & Travel), you'll lead, develop, and support a team of two Category Analysts
Driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and category innovation across international stakeholders
Managing strategic supplier relationships and ensuring alignment with business needs
Delivering sourcing projects and contract negotiations to secure long-term value
Collaborating cross-functionally to understand requirements and shape category strategies
Ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and best practice procurement processes
Candidate Requirements:
Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent discipline
4+ years of experience in Procurement Category Management, ideally within Professional Services
Strong knowledge of HR and travel-related categories (e.g., advisory, outsourcing, payroll, recruitment, pension, travel)
Proven capability in managing multi-million spend and delivering category strategies
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience developing or mentoring team members
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship management capability
