Purpose

We are looking for a motivated individual to support the successful introduction of new products in Optical Inspection. You will play a key role in coordinating projects and ensuring that every New Product Introduction (NPI) is smoothly integrated within our department. You will coordinate NPI activities, manage project timelines and risks, maintain documentation standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen inspection operations and site performance.

This position is an excellent opportunity for early‑career talents who are eager to apply their knowledge, gain hands‑on experience in a GMP‑regulated environment, and grow within a dynamic professional setting. Become part of our Optical Inspection Support team in Schaffhausen and help make a real impact on patients’ lives around the globe!

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and executing New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to ensure smooth and timely integration of new products into the Optical Inspection department.
  • Planning, tracking, and managing project timelines, deliverables, and risks for all NPI‑related initiatives.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives related to NPI processes, workflows, and documentation standards.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate NPI documentation, including change controls, SOP updates, and technical records.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent degree; a degree in Natural Sciences, Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Automation, Data Analytics, or Statistics is preferred. Whether you are looking for your first role in the industry or are ready to deepen the knowledge and skills gained through your initial professional experiences, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
  • Ideally, you already bring some exposure to the pharmaceutical, chemical manufacturing environment - for example through internships, academic projects, or work experience.
  • You have an interest in, or some initial experience working in a GMP‑regulated environment.
  • Very good organizational and communication skills, paired with a goal‑oriented "can‑do” mentality. Good skills in project coordination/ project management and working with different stakeholders are essential to succeed in this role.
  • Good root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving skills.
  • Results‑ and performance‑oriented mindset and drive to continuously improve processes and challenge the status quo.
  • Fluency (spoken and written) in English and either knowledge of or willingness to learn German.

At Johnson & Johnson, we want every candidate to feel supported throughout the hiring process. Our goal is to make the experience clear, fair, and respectful of your time.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Application review: We’ll carefully review your CV to see how your skills and experience align with the role.
  • Getting to know you: If there’s a good match, you’ll be invited to a short call with one of our recruitment team to understand more about you and answer any questions that you might have.
  • Staying informed: We know waiting can be hard and processes can evolve; our recruitment team will keep you updated and make sure you know what to expect at each step.
  • Final steps: For successful candidates, you will need to complete country-specific checks before starting your new role. We will help guide you through these.

Finally, at the end of the process, we’ll invite you to share feedback in a short survey — your input helps us continue improving the experience for future candidates. Thank you for considering a career with Johnson & Johnson. We’re excited to learn more about you and wish you the best of luck in the process! #RPOEMEA
