WHAT TO EXPECT
Monitoring and maintaining airworthiness in 24/7 operations, as well as ensuring on-time flight operations from a technical perspective.
Ensuring compliance with all aviation regulations (LBA/EASA) and other approved EAT internal procedures (such as MOE, CAME) as well as those of the respective operator.
- Acting as Single Point of Contact for the assigned fleets; maintaining a permanent overview of the technical status, reporting the status, communicating urgent changes to relevant departments, and providing technical support to the operators.
- Monitoring ongoing and planned maintenance within a +72-hour timeframe at all stations.
- Reviewing incoming maintenance documentation, including aircraft release (CRS).
- Accepting the aircraft for flight operations (according to process description – active handover to flight operations).
- Reviewing, assessing, and approving the deferral of discrepancies, as well as monitoring corresponding entries in the MIS.
- Continuous monitoring of deferred discrepancies and those that result in operational limitations.
- Supporting departments (e.g., Engineering, STEP, AV, Logistics, Troubleshooting) to make the aircraft available to the network as quickly as possible.
- Communicating with flight crews regarding technical issues to ensure reliable operations and avoid delays or cancellations.
- Assisting the "Daily Planner” in planning aircraft routes and coordinating maintenance activities so that the aircraft is operational within the scheduled timeframe and available to the DHL network.
- Ensuring solution-oriented communication between all departments involved in the fault resolution process (AOG Recovery).
- Being able to provide information on ongoing AOGs at any time.
- Ensuring rapid restoration of airworthiness through effective coordination and monitoring of AOG situations.
- Reviewing and approving short-notice A/C change requests.
- Informing maintenance operations of changes in flight planning.
- Tracking and maintaining technical delays.
- Coordinating and supporting third-party activities as needed at outstations.
- Performing special tasks, participating in cross-functional projects, and contributing to the development of internal processes.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING
- Completed degree and several years of relevant professional experience.
- At least three years of experience in the field of aircraft maintenance or servicing.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations (EASA, LBA), airworthiness, and operational procedures during flight operations.
- Understanding of aircraft maintenance intervals, maintenance planning, and scheduling of maintenance tasks.
- Holder of a Part-66 CAT B1 or CAT B2 license for aircraft maintenance is desirable.
- An EAT-relevant type rating or equivalent is desirable.
- Flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, effective communication.
- High resilience and ability to assess problems and make timely decisions under stress.
- Structured approach in a complex environment while maintaining priorities.
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with programs such as AIMS, TRAX, AMOS, Netline is desirable.
- Service orientation and customer-focused behavior.
- Determination and punctuality.
- Willingness to participate in job-related training.
- Ability to work in shifts.
