Job description
- You will be responsible for the correct and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
- In addition, you will manage and develop the accounting team and the accounting processes, coordinate day-to-day business and strengthen the competences of your team
- With great care, you ensure compliance with all legal and tax requirements and work closely with auditors, tax advisors and authorities
- The implementation and continuous development of accounting guidelines, internal controls and reporting structures are part of your job, internal controls and reporting structures are part of your area of responsibility
- strategically, you proactively drive forward the further development and digitalisation of accounting processes, especially with a view to the future introduction of SAP S/4HANA
- across departments, you work closely with Controlling, Legal, Purchasing and the management
- as the main contact person, you coordinate all external enquiries regarding auditing and tax matters and ensure smooth communication
Requirements
- You have completed commercial training with further training, for example as an accountant (m/f/d) or a degree in economics
- You have several years of professional and management experience and can therefore master complex challenges in accounting with confidence
- With a confident use of MS Office and in-depth knowledge of common accounting software such as SAP, Navision or Datev, you are ideally equipped
- Your fluency in German and English will enable you to communicate effectively within the team and with international partners
- Reliability and the ability to work in a team are a matter of course for you
