Our client, a leading financial services organization, is looking for an expert to support them in supplier management and procurement operations.

As a Procurement / Purchasing Consultant, you will provide expertise in the domain of procurement, supplier onboarding, contract management, and operational purchasing.

As part of the team, you will focus on providing the best possible solutions in procurement operations, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure smooth and compliant processes.

Focus:

• Creation and maintenance of suppliers in the procurement platform
• Independently obtaining, evaluating, and negotiating prices and quotes up to a defined monetary threshold, as well as managing small to medium-sized procurements
• Operational review, preparation, approval, and execution of contracts
• Reviewing, processing, and completing purchase orders and digitally releasing them to suppliers (SAP SRM / e-Shop)
• Responding to inquiries regarding orders from internal teams and suppliers
• Helpdesk and company-wide operational procurement support
• Operational management of various buying channels/tools, including procurement catalogs
• Training and maintaining knowledge and process documentation related to the ordering process and procurement platforms

Background / Required Experience:

• Initial work experience, preferably in indirect procurement (ideally in the financial industry)
• Independent and structured working style, proactive and team-oriented
• Negotiation skills (internal and external)
• Sociable, communicative, and open-minded personality
• Resilient and versatile personality
• Loyal and discreet
• IT affinity, particularly strong MS Office skills
• Holistic process thinking and structured, analytical approach
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German, and good skills in English

Duration: This is a 12 month engagement with an option of internalisation.
