Your location

You will work in the modern technology center of CTC GmbH, located in direct proximity to the Airbus plant in Stade. The Airbus plant in Stade is one of the largest production facilities for composite components used in civil and military aircraft. The convenient location provides you with good transport links to Hamburg. Stade itself offers a high quality of life with its historic town centre and maritime atmosphere.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• You will develop innovative welding thermoplastic and composite technologies as enabler for advanced composite lightweight applications

• You will develop the inhouse ultrasonic and resistance technologies and transfer them to airframe and propulsion structures

• You will operate and enhance the automation and robotic systems at CTC

• You will support specification & testing of highly automated manufacturing systems

• You will also support the development of thermoplastic technology bricks

• You will initiate ideas from creating to implementing a project

• You will lead projects or sub-projects in national and international environment

Desired skills and qualifications

• You have a Master degree in aeronautic and aerospace engineering, production technology, material science or equivalent

• You bring profound expertise in robotic ultrasonic welding of composites combined with practical skills in applying the process

• You are able to program and operate robotic systems (UR, KUKA, etc.)

• You are able to program real time and safety critical software in industrial environments (PLC, SCADA such as AVEVA or WinCC, OPC-UA, Profinet etc.)

• You have knowledge in design tools such as 3DExperience / CatiaV5

• Ideally you show experience in performing mechanical testing and characterisation of composite materials

• Ideally you have competencies in manufacturing of thermoplastic composites

• You are a highly motivated, proactive and open-minded person with a great sense of initiative and the ability to inspire others

• Your German and English are at a high level
