Head of Accounting – Swiss Headquarters
As Head of Accounting for our Swiss headquarters and holding entities, you will own and lead the local accounting function, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting under IFRS and Swiss GAAP. In this highly visible role, you bring strong technical expertise, leadership, and a hands-on mindset to a complex, international environment. More about the role
- Lead and own financial accounting and reporting for the Swiss HQ and holding companies
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings under IFRS and local GAAP
- Oversee core finance operations (RTR, PTP, OTC), intercompany accounting, and cash pooling
- Own statutory reporting, Swiss and international VAT, and support tax accounting activities
- Act as main contact for external audits, internal controls, and governance matters
- Drive process optimization and system improvements (SAP) in collaboration with shared service centers
- Lead, develop, and inspire a team of accounting professionals
More about you
- Degree in Accounting or Finance, with several years of accounting experience, including significant exposure in a Swiss HQ environment
- Strong expertise in IFRS, Swiss GAAP, statutory reporting, VAT, and tax accounting
- Proven experience working with shared service organizations and complex finance operations
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop accounting professionals
- Solid SAP knowledge and a passion for process and system improvements
- Hands-on leader with strong analytical skills, accountability, and resilience
- Fluent in German and English
