Reliability Engineer Product Development (m/f/d)

Sonova develops innovative hearing solutions and services for people with hearing loss and hearing care professionals – from hearing instruments and accessories to web services, mobile applications, and PC software.

Your passion is product reliability. With your hardware engineering expertise, you will strengthen our success. Embedded in an international team, you will accompany product development projects through all stages and ensure that reliability requirements and targets are met. By applying state-of-the-art reliability tools and analysis methods, you will work closely with development engineers, product managers, quality assurance, and manufacturing engineering – making our products even more robust, durable, and trusted worldwide.

Your tasks

  • Apply modern reliability methods to identify potential failure modes, manage reliability risks, and define optimization measures

  • Perform data-driven reliability analysis of existing and new products using test results and field-return data

  • Plan, evaluate, and document reliability tests including statistical analysis and root cause analysis of failures

  • Support product development projects with reliability expertise and take the lead for reliability activities within projects

  • Contribute to building and strengthening reliability competence at Sonova R&D

Your profile

  • University degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (or a related technical field)

  • 5+ years of professional experience in product development with a proven track record of successful projects

  • Expertise in design-for-reliability methods (e.g. statistical failure analysis, reliability test planning/DoE, (D)FMEA, DRBFM, FTA)

  • Experience collaborating with external development partners

  • Self-driven with strong leadership and influencing skills

  • Background in the medical device industry or other regulated fields is a strong plus

  • Fluent in English; German knowledge is an advantage but not a requirement

We offer you a new challenge with exciting tasks and long-term perspectives: an open corporate culture with flat hierarchies, extensive training and development opportunities, chances to take on responsibility, excellent on-site services (canteen, sports and cultural activities), attractive employment conditions, and flexible working time models (80–100%).

Karim Shaker, Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, is looking forward to receiving your complete application (cover letter, CV, references, and certificates) via our online job application platform.

At Sonova, your work has impact: you help millions of people around the world hear better and live a fuller life.
