The actual location of this job is in Stein, Switzerland.
Our successful Drug Product (DP) focused branch located in Basel and Stein, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. What you will do:
Own the global strategy for freeze dryer qualification and lyophilization process control strategy for aseptic drug product manufacturing
Define and maintain global equipment comparability standards to enable interchangeable use of freeze dryers.
Lead the global lyophilization process transferability strategy at commercial scale
Co-lead in partnership with Process Development and local MSAT, the global approach for lyophilization process improvements and process scale-up.
Oversee tech transfer across the DP GMP network to ensure right-first-time of Tech Transfer and new product introduction, process performance qualification and commercial launches.
Support regulatory submissions and act as SME during inspections.
Drive innovation and standardization of lyophilization technologies, SOPs, and technical guidelines.
Coach teams and foster cross-site collaboration and knowledge sharing.
What we are looking for:
PhD or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, biochemistry, or a related field
Extensive experience qualifying freeze dryers for aseptic drug product processes
Proven expertise transferring lyophilization processes across sites and scaling to commercial
Strong background in validation, statistics, and process control strategy for lyophilization
Experience with regulatory submissions, Health Authority interactions, and PAIs
Skilled in risk assessment, deviations, change control, and root cause analysis
Track record leading global projects; excellent communication and English proficiency
