The actual location of this job is in Stein, AG, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.
As an HVAC & Utilities Engineer, you ensure the GMP‑compliant, safe, and energy‑efficient operation of Black Utilities, Clean Utilities, and HVAC systems within our new sterile Drug Product facility. During the start‑up phase of this global strategic growth project, you will significantly contribute to designing and implementing an optimal operational set‑up. In routine operations, you are responsible for system reliability, regulatory compliance, and up‑to‑date documentation in alignment with applicable guidelines and SOPs.
This position is part of our Drug Product Services (DPS) Business Unit in Stein, Switzerland, a CDMO environment supporting customers in solving some of the most complex challenges in modern therapeutics.

What you will do:
Participate in FATs, construction walkdowns, commissioning, and qualification to ensure a smooth handover of Black Utilities, Clean Utilities, and HVAC systems
Ensure safe, cGMP‑compliant operation and execution of maintenance activities after handover
Maintain complete, accurate, and up‑to‑date system documentation
Support risk analyses and create SOPs and work instructions for the new facility and assigned equipment
Maintain qualification status of responsible areas in line with safety and GMP requirements
Manage deviations and changes across the assigned system landscape
Act as subject matter expert (SME) during audits and inspections for all HVAC & Utilities topics
What we are looking for:
Degree in engineering (HF, FH, Dipl. Ing., B.Sc., M.Sc.) or a comparable technical education with strong technical understanding
Proficiency in German (required); English skills preferred
Significant experience in equipment maintenance, ideally in a pharmaceutical GMP environment
Strong knowledge of SAP‑PM and MS Office
Analytical mindset with the ability to define and track KPIs
Familiarity with GMP compliance requirements preferred
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic project and operational setting
