This is a unique opportunity to lead and build a team within Quality Control for our growing site! Accountable as Team Lead for the leadership, coordination, and performance of the Support & Service team(s) within your area of responsibility. This includes, but is not but is not limited to, Lab Systems (Equipment Qualification, IT/OT/DI/CSV support), Stability Services, Technical Training, and Audit & Inspection Support. Define and drive the strategic direction of the team in line with Lonza’s objectives and the business platform. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development while facilitating effective communication and collaboration across departments, sites, and the broader Lonza network.

What you’ll do:
Lead, manage, and develop a team for QC support services such as Lab Systems (Equipment Qualification, IT/OT/DI/CSV), Stability Services, Technical Training, Audit and Inspection Support. Provide guidance on planning, processes, and process improvements, collaborator management, and prioritization in alignment with Lonza goals, policies, and principles.
Ensure services by effective use of resources (time, personnel, equipment, material, infrastructure, etc.).
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards as well as quality standards.
Support the QC team in monitoring and planning for critical metrics related to capacity.
Support strategy and projects within the department and across departments.
Coordinate and ensure adherence to cGMP, SOPs, and Lonza standards, ensuring data integrity.
Supervise/establish analytical-related quality and cGMP documents, such as procedures (SOPs), source documents, reports, deviations, and change requests.
What we’re looking for:
Academic degree in life sciences
Advanced level of work experience in Quality Control within a pharmaceutical cGMP-controlled environment is a must
Proven team lead and people management experience is a must
Experience with audits ( presenting in health authority audits) is a must
Broad experience in analytical methodologies is a desirable (including knowledge of lab quality systems like Trackwise, LIMS, Tiamo or Empower/Chromeleon or similar), specific experience with physico-chemical analysis is a plus . Experience in analytical equipment qualification is highly desirable.
Ability to effectively prioritize and direct tasks in a fast-paced environment is critical. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Open-minded for new ideas and suggestions; agile, highly motivated and dynamic drive; solution-oriented. Capable of motivating others, creating a positive work climate.
Proficiency in English is a must; German language skills are an advantage
