As an engineering manager, you’ll mentor and grow a high-performing engineering team, drive the delivery of cutting-edge features across robotics and applications, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Activities
Team Leadership & People Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing software engineering team.
- Conduct regular feedback meetings and 1:1s, support career growth, and create a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive recruitment and onboarding of new engineering talent.
- Own the scaling and evolution of the team: assess skills, identify gaps, and proactively shape the team structure to meet current and future business needs.
Project Execution & Delivery
- Ensure timely delivery of new features, bug fixes, and management of technical debt.
- Provide hands-on support through code reviews and design discussions.
- Foster engineering best practices and support high-quality software development.
- Continuously evolve and optimize engineering processes (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, value stream improvements).
- Facilitate agile practices to enhance team efficiency and collaboration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the CTO and Product Management to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software across robotics, applications, and interfaces.
- Advocate for your team’s needs and help balance business urgency with long-term engineering health.
- Maintain strong visibility into progress, blockers, and team capacity.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to grow and manage high-performing teams through mentorship, hiring, and team building (>3 years), ideally in robotics or related fields.
- Strong technical background in software development (preferably frontend development).
- Passion for building strong teams and delivering impactful products.
- Experience with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a hands-on, collaborative leadership style.
Bonus Points
- Experience in robotics or autonomous systems.
- Experience with startups.
- Familiarity with technologies like ROS2, C++, Python, TypeScript, and Continuous Delivery practices.

- We are a group of robotics nerds without the lack of social skills, aiming to become one of Europe’s best teams in software development for mobile robotics
- We consist of 25 people from more than 10 different nations; the team you will be leading consists of up to 8 cross-functional experts from UI, UX, QA and robotics application engineering
- Your team closely collaborates with the "robotics core" team and directly reports to the company's CTO
- We value knowledge sharing, modern technology and flexibility in designing our daily work
