We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Voltage (HV) Test Engineer with a proven track record in the cable industry. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in testing, validation, and quality assurance of high-voltage power cables, ensuring compliance with international standards and customer specifications. This role is pivotal in guaranteeing the reliability, safety, and performance of products designed for critical power transmission applications worldwide.

• Lead and execute high-voltage type tests, routine tests, and acceptance tests on medium and high-voltage cables (AC/DC).
• Develop, implement, and optimize test procedures, methodologies, and safety protocols in line with IEC, IEEE, and other international standards.
• Conduct diagnostic and withstand tests including PD (Partial Discharge), AC/DC Hipot, Impulse (Lightning/Switching), and Tan Delta measurements.
• Analyze and interpret test data and failure modes, providing technical reports with clear recommendations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to resolve design, material, or process-related issues impacting electrical performance.
• Ensure all testing equipment and laboratories are maintained, calibrated, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Support customer witness tests and represent the company during external inspections or audits.
• Drive continuous improvement projects in HV testing methods, equipment, and processes.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians on HV testing practices.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (focus on High Voltage Engineering preferred).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in high-voltage testing, specifically within the cable manufacturing industry (extruded XLPE, EPR, or similar insulation systems).
• In-depth knowledge of international HV testing standards (IEC 60840, IEC 62067, IEC 60229, IEC 60502, IEEE, CIGRÉ).
• Proven expertise in HV test systems, impulse generators, PD measurement equipment, and dielectric test setups.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in identifying and addressing cable performance issues.
• Experience in failure analysis and root cause determination of cable defects.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025).
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal). Additional languages are a plus.
• Safety-first mindset with demonstrated experience in HV lab safety practices.
