For our client, a cutting-edge company specialized in secure connectivity and communication technologies tailored to the requirements of the defence and aerospace industries, we are filling the following position:

LEAD PROJECT MANAGER (M/W/D) AVIATION

YOUR TASKS

  • Lead complex integration and delivery projects to provide connectivity solutions onboard aircraft for airline customers
  • Define project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and customers in accordance with industry best practices
  • Establish and manage project governance and reporting processes with all relevant stakeholders
  • Act as the primary contact for customers, suppliers, and internal project members throughout project delivery
  • Monitor and control project progress, providing regular updates to senior management
  • Identify and analyze project risks and implement effective mitigation plans
  • Collaborate closely with technical, commercial, and procurement teams to ensure successful execution
  • Proactively optimize project execution and identify additional project requirements (scope, resources, budget)
  • Support commercial teams with resource and timeline estimations during bid preparations
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of project management processes and tools
  • Manage resource and budget planning across projects
  • Provide support for material handling, logistics, documentation, and export control processes

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Over 10 years of project management experience in complex, multi-national, multi-party projects
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Excellent documentation and presentation abilities
  • Broad understanding of mobile communication networks and inflight connectivity solutions for aviation
  • Certified in project management according to a recognized industry standard
  • Hands-on, can-do attitude with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic startup environment
  • Fluent in English (oral and written); German language skills are a plus
  • Experience in aviation project/program management highly desirable
  • Familiarity with materials handling, logistics, and related documentation in aviation is an advantage
