Senior Manager, Global Media Relations
Help shape how the world sees Sonova — a leading innovator in hearing care. We’re searching for a seasoned Senior Manager, Global Media Relations to serve as our voice in the world of media and to lead strategic reputation management across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Sonova’s global Senior media spokesperson, representing the Group across key corporate business, healthcare, and tech media channels
- Develop and execute long-term media strategies aligned with corporate communications and strategic goals
- Develop and drive responsible media relations around key Group themes including financial communications in collaboration with Investor Relations
- Advise on and lead the CEO’s and key Management Board members’ positioning in media
- Build and nurture strong relationships with Tier 1 media in key Sonova markets (US, UK, Germany, France, Switzerland)
- Train and position senior Sonova leaders as credible, confident media representatives
- Monitor media impact, track KPIs, and advise on insights and learnings
- Manage the press office: media inquiries, holding statements, and daily operations
- Lead in issues response strategy/issues response advisory across our businesses and Group, including global stakeholder coordination
- Support countries and markets in media outreach advisory as needed
Your Profile
- At least 5 years’ experience in global media relations in large global organisations, preferably in Tech/Medtech or healthcare
- Excellent business language skills in English and German required (native level) — other languages are a bonus
- Resilient network/ relationships with global top-tier financial, business, and industry media outlets
- Strong financial acumen and communication skills and experience in working closely with Investor Relations
- Exceptional communicator; able to write, edit, and speak with clarity and impact
- Ideally, master’s degree in communications or related discipline; agency background is a plus
- Strategic thinker with hands-on agility and sharp decision-making instincts
- Excellent stakeholder management, advisory and influencing skills
- Resilient, culturally sensitive, and collaborative — thriving in a global matrixed environment
