Join us as a working student (m/f/d) in Data Science/Machine Learning and become part of our Data Platform Team! We, the Data Platform Team, are responsible for enabling nexmart's data infrastructure and ensuring its performance. We focus on building efficient data processes and take full ownership of pipelines that empower business units to work with data seamlessly, while maintaining strong governance and quality standards. Our team ensures that data is treated as a strategic asset, supporting both technical and business needs through effective data management practices.

We are looking for a working student to support us primarily in the field of data science modeling, but also has an open mind to help in ML engineering.

• As a working student in the Data Platform Team, you will help evaluate and analyze data using Python and SQL, present the results in meetings and document them.
• You will support the initial development, testing and further development of machine learning prototypes in collaboration with Data & ML Engineers and other Data Scientists.
• You will also support the team in explaining and illustrating the solution and new findings to people outside the field.
• Furthermore, you will assist with research, eg on scientific publications, technologies and trends.

• You are passionate about AI/ML and you have already gained some initial experience in this field (ideally even with NLP) through studies or internships.
• You have a good understanding of mathematics (eg statistics, linear algebra, probabilities), proven through your studies or projects, and can visualize data in a comprehensible way.
• You would like to learn more about the development of corporate AI, including MLOps and data engineering, in a practical setting.
• You enjoy working independently as well as in a team and find it easy to take responsibility for sub-tasks.
• You are familiar with MS Office, ideally also with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira), and have initial experience with agile working (sprints, user stories).
