This role reports into the Biological Insights & Integration (BII) cluster within the Target, Disease and Systems Biology (TDSB) function at Sanofi research , serving as a key player in planning, interpretation, and execution of precision medicine activities across multiple therapeutic areas.

Main responsibilities:

  • Contribute deep scientific expertise in immunology & inflammation, neurological diseases, and/or immuno-oncology to advance research programs across multiple stages of development

  • Formulate hypotheses and interpret results from integrated analysis of molecular, clinical,pathological, and in silico data to develop patient stratification approaches

  • Analyze multi-modal profiling datasets from patients with immune, oncology, and/or neurodegenerative diseases using R and/or Python or similar programming languages

  • Lead cross-functional projects involving TDSB, research therapeutic areas, Early Development & Translational Medicine and Digital functions

  • Collaborate with external stakeholders through vendor relationships and consortia participation to execute strategic initiatives

  • Coordinate programs from research into early clinical development (forward-translation) and vice versa (back-translation)

  • Develop approaches to explore drug mechanisms-of-action, therapeutic strategies, and responses using AI/ML tools

  • Represent Sanofi at conferences and scientific gatherings, building strong partnerships across the organization and with external KOLs

About you

Education and Experience:

  • PhD in life sciences, PharmD and/or MD with 4+ years or MS with 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent. ‘Bilingual’ scientists with deep biological expertise and proficiency in bioinformatics and multiOmic data analysis would be at an advantage

Soft and technical skills:

  • Advanced understanding of diseases with clear vision about precision medicine approaches in drug development

  • Deep understanding of unmet medical needs in Immune-Inflammatory and neurological conditions and/or complex immune diseases

  • Strong publication record and advanced understanding of genetic and genomics data analytics

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English required; French language skills viewed favourably

  • Ability to function in diverse teams and lead cross-functional projects in a matrix environment

Languages:

  • English (fluent). French is a plus
