Job Description
EMEA Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a global sector leader to support their new carve out. They seek a Consolidation Manager responsible for implementing new processes to enable financial reporting of the Group.The role offers the chance to lead in the transition from a legacy CPM system to the new one. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring consolidation reports are complete in the legacy system in time for the system transition date.
This role is based in the Switzerland HQ . Our client requires a professional capable of verifying that all financial statements are correctly reported by the various entities and support in the conversion from US GAAP to IFRS.
The ideal candidate is a qualified Accountant with Big 4 and industry experience, as well as strong IFRS knowledge.
The main duties of the Consolidation Manager are:
- Play a pivotal role in the transition to the new consolidation system
- Ensure all reporting units report their transactions accurately
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Collaborate with the required functions so that financial information is submitted on time for consolidation
- Document consolidation adjustments to eliminate unrealized profits and ensure intercompany balances
- Oversee the work of direct and indirect reports
- Work in conjunction with external auditors to provide the necessary information for the consolidation process
Required skills for the Consolidation Manager role:
- Substantial experience in accounting and financial reporting according to IFRS standards
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting processes
- Previous experience of consolidation accounting in a multinational environment
- Professional English language skills
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Excellent knowledge of consolidation systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
- Ability to manage direct and indirect reports
- Proven experience in managing internal and external stakeholders
