Development Engineer Mechanical Engineering / Prototype Construction in Central Switzerland (m/f) | Obwalden

The main focus of this position lies in the development and design of new products – from the initial idea, through concept and construction, all the way to production release. You will experience first-hand how fascinating prototypes are created step by step as the foundation for new product lines, and you will see the direct results of your work in close cooperation with the sales team. This is a generalist role with a broad and diverse range of responsibilities, typical of a small enterprise – an environment where your constructive and creative abilities can truly shine.

A versatile and practically minded personality is sought, with a technical basic education (for example Polymechanic, Agricultural Machinery Mechanic, etc.) and further training as a Mechanical Engineer at bachelor’s level (University of Applied Sciences). Experience in the development or design of prototypes in the fields of hydraulics, pneumatics, toolmaking or similar areas is an advantage. What matters most is that you convince with a structured and systematic approach, enjoy working in a team, and bring a positive attitude combined with genuine motivation. You have a good command of German and are proficient in the use of MS Office and CAD programs.
