SAP EWM / ABAP Techno-Functional Consultant - German Speaking - Bern, Switzerland (Mostly Remote with 3 days onsite every other week). Start: 24th November 2025 (the client can wait for people with a 1 month notice period). 6 Month Contract (high chance of extension).

Our client based in Bern, Switzerland requires an SAP EWM-ABAP Techno-Functional Consultant for a 6 month assignment with a high chance of further extension. They are planning one of the largest SAP S/4HANA business transformations in Switzerland.

In an agile organisation based on SAFe, IT works very closely with the business to develop joint solutions. This makes work easier and shortens communication channels.
As a so-called Digital Solution Rolling Stock (DSO ROS), the client uses digital solutions to support robust, innovative and modern maintenance and management of rolling stock throughout the asset life cycle. Our approximately 180 employees from three agile release trains (ART) with several teams support around 30 SAP, 40 non-SAP and 10 analytics/diagnostics applications for 5,500 users. The Agile Release Train ARTistik focuses on planning, control, material management, quality management and sales (SAP MM, SD, WM/EWM, PP, PM, IBP). Together, we ensure that our rolling stock does not come to a standstill.
In this role, you will be part of a BizDevOps team and actively help shape the future integration into the S/4HANA solution.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must have experience in SAP ABAP and OO ABAP development, including ABAP for HANA (S/4HANA), for SAP EWM enhancements and customizations.
• Must be skilled in SAP UI5 and Fiori app development, creating interfaces for EWM and deploying them via SAP BTP and SAP Business Application Studio.
• Must have strong knowledge of core SAP EWM processes such as inbound/outbound, putaway, picking, packing, wave management, batch/serial number handling, physical inventory, kitting, and Value-Added Services.
• Must have hands-on experience in customizing EWM features like RF Framework, queue management, label printing, and PPF actions to fit business needs.
• Should be proficient in master data management and data migration for EWM using tools like LTMC, LSMW, BDC, and BAPIs for warehouse structure, stock, and storage bins.
• Should have experience in system integration between ECC and EWM using CIF and RFC connections to ensure smooth, real-time data flow.
• Should have knowledge of development of WRICEF objects tailored to specific customer requirements
• Must have knowledge of SAP ABAP Debugging, Interface management (Idoc, API), data migration, RF configuration

Languages:

• Must be fluent in both German & English

Remote Work:

• Mostly remote work.
• Must be willing to be onsite for 3 days every other week. This is mandatory and non-negotiable.

Workload:

• Start ASAP from the 24th November 2025.
• The client can wait for people with a 1 month notice period.
• End Date: 30th June 2026 with a high chance of further extension
• You can work 4 or 5 days per week
• 8 hours per day
• Must be willing to travel up to 80 km to other plant locations when required.
