THESE ARE YOUR TASKS

• Data analysis & AI: Gaining insights and forecasts from our extensive data sets using KPIs, statistical analyses, and machine learning and AI methods.
• Development of Data Products: Building new data-driven features and products, adapted to the dynamic growth of our e-commerce and the rapid changes in our tech stack.
• Stakeholder management: Close collaboration with internal teams and specialist departments to identify requirements and translate them into suitable data science solutions.
• Practical implementation: Independent implementation of data projects – from clear requirements definition to implementation and monitoring of the solutions.
• Quality assurance: Ensuring the quality of analyses, models and results, as well as optimizing existing data pipelines.
• Promoting a data culture: Supporting self-service data analysis through the creation and further development of dashboards and reports.

• Delta Lake: Apache Spark & ​​delta.io Framework; On-premise on Hadoop/YARN
• Streaming: Apache Kafka for real-time data ingestion
• AI infrastructure: GPU workstations integrated into a data lake and streaming environment

WHAT YOU BRING

• Solid practical experience in data science and data analysis – ideally in the field of e-commerce or similarly data-intensive environments.
• Excellent knowledge of Apache Spark (Scala/Python) and SQL for efficient data processing and analysis.
• Ability to clearly understand requirements, implement them in an understandable way, and communicate results convincingly.
• Structured, reliable and solution-oriented work style with a high capacity for understanding complex analytical issues.
• Agile teamwork and a passion for innovation – that's what sets you apart!
• Experience in creating dashboards and reports (e.g., with Metabase).
• Interest in AI technologies (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, Agentic AI, Model Context Protocol, Vibe Coding, Analytical AI) and their application in a business context is desirable.
