To strengthen our team in the area of Scientific & Regulatory Affairs at the Trier plant, we are looking for an Agile Testing & Packaging Assessment Manager (m/f/d) in permanent employment.
Your job mission:
The Agile Testing & Packaging Assessment Manager plays a key role in ensuring that products and primary packaging materials comply with internal guidelines and global packaging regulatory requirements. As part of the Scientific & Regulatory Affairs (SRA), a global HQ function, this position drives the assessment of primary packaging and factory materials, leads the coordination of SRA testing projects, and ensures timely delivery of results aligned with business priorities.

Your tasks:
- Assess and qualify primary packaging and factory materials for compliance with internal policies
- Liaise with external packaging suppliers to ensure compliance with international regulations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business strategies related to primary packaging
- Coordinate chemical, toxicological testing, and global testing programs as part of SRA product stewardship processes
- Commission testing related to contamination, ingredient inquiries, and health-related complaints
- Collaborate with the SRA Product & Regulatory Affairs Agile Operations team to stay updated on the latest market-specific regulations concerning primary packaging materials
Your profile:
- Relevant educational background: University degree in a technical or scientific field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Toxicology preferred)
- Practical experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the consumer goods industry, ideally in material and ingredient assessment
- Valuable knowledge: Strong expertise in chemical analysis, food contact testing and laboratory practices; solid understanding of international food contact regulations (e.g., EU Directives, German BfR), REACH knowledge is a plus
- Special strengths: Proficiency in MS Office and SAP; experience with SQL databases is an advantage
- Language proficiency: Fluency in both written and spoken English, additional language skills are a plus
- Suitable personality: Strong communication skills with a proven track record of effective teamwork
