Parental Leave Cover position as Entrepreneurship Project Coordinator for the EU-funded ELIAS project (European Lighthouse of AI for Sustainability)
(m/f/d, E13 TV-L, 100%, fixed-term from October 15th, 2025, to February 28th 2027
About ELIAS:
Funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe program, ELIAS aims to place Europe at the forefront of AI-driven sustainable innovation . Building on the success of the ELLIS Society (European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems), the project focuses on promoting entrepreneurship, tech transfer, and sustainable development in the AI space.
A key initiative led by the Tübingen AI Center is the European Innovation Alliance (EIA) —a growing network of top-tier innovation partners working together to foster entrepreneurial talent and scalable, sustainable AI solutions
Your Responsibilities:
- Set up and coordinate the European Innovation Alliance (EIA) , managing collaboration with ~20 leading partners in deep tech AI, sustainability, and open-source ecosystems
- Oversee a work package of the ELIAS project, including administrative and financial tasks
- Support and monitor activities such as:
- A summer school for transformative technologies
- Mentoring and visibility programs for tech transfer
- A startup internship program
- Hackathons and open calls for SMEs
- Prepare project reports and maintain relevant statistics
- Represent the EIA in meetings and act as a liaison for partners, sponsors, and the public
- Organize conferences, workshops, and project meetings
- Handle public communications (e.g., website, social media, policy briefs)
Your Profile:
- Advanced university degree (MSc or PhD)
- Strong English communication skills, German is a plus
- Ideally, you bring experience in several of the following areas:
- Building and managing professional networks
- Technology transfer and spin-off support
- Identifying and engaging high-potential innovation partners
- Creating content for public communication (e.g., websites, newsletters)
- Managing third-party funded research projects
- EU project management and reporting
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
