We are hiring:

Junior Project Manager (m/f/d) – EU-Funded Projects

Starting date: November 1, 2025, or later

The Junior Project Manager role is part of our dynamic and fast-growing Project and Innovation Management Department, which oversees a broad and diverse portfolio of research and innovation projects.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support acquisition activities for national and international research and innovation projects
• Assist in planning, organizing, and managing ongoing project operations
• Contribute to the management of national and international projects by supporting: - Monitoring progress towards milestones and deliverables
• Coordinating activities and ensuring timely execution
• Identifying potential risks and challenges
• Act as a communication hub alongside project managers and coordinators, liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders, including: - Close collaboration with coordination teams for implementation
• Drafting project deliverables in cooperation with WP Leaders and research teams
• Providing support to WP and Task Leaders
• Ensuring involvement of the relevant internal research divisions
• Assist in organizing workshops, presentations, and meetings
• Contribute to drafting applications and proposals under Horizon Europe and other programs
• Take part in networking activities to establish and strengthen partnerships

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in life sciences, or another relevant field
• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English (German is a plus but not required)
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective team player with the ability to work independently
• Initial international experience in project management practices
• Knowledge of EU project principles and methodologies (desirable)
• Experience with academic and non-academic collaborations and knowledge transfer (desirable)
• Willingness to travel as required
• Proficiency in MS Office
